Description
This is a 1928 non electric Johnson Lightening table or counter top coin changer coin machine made by the Johnson Fare Box Company. Johnson bought Coinometer in 1924 and this is a Coinometer design which was shared by Johnson Lightining and Coinometer after the acquisition, some badged Coinometer and some Johnson. This is a great working and great looking machine. It is complete and has no breaks, chips, cracks or missing pieces. This machine was sold for theater, store and arcade use. Push a key and get the designated change. The color of the key determines the combination of coins dispensed into the receiver on the left side of the machine; push the lever and the coins fall into your hand. This is a much more rare design than the chute design. All denominations of coins and all keys have been operated thru several complete cycles and the correct change is dispensed. The coin stack holds, left to right: dime, dime, 2 cents, 1 cent, 2 cents, nickel, quarter, and half dollar. It measures 13 1/2" tall, 12 1/4" wide, and 12 3/4" from front to back, and is very heavy. Check out my other items! I am not an expert or collector of anything, and often know very little about any one item I sell. I sell too wide a variety of things to be very knowledgable about any one item. I describe my items to the best of my ability, and as honestly as I can, and provide the best pictures of which I am capable to help further describe my items. The buyer is responsible for knowing what he/she is bidding on, and my pictures ALWAYS take precedence over my written description because sometimes I don't even know what an item is that I am selling, much less how to describe it accurately. Please remember you are bidding on a second-hand, vintage or antique item. Any physical damage (chips, cracks etc) is described above. However, if you are expecting goods in mint/brand-new condition, please place your bids elsewhere. If in any doubt at all, please ask questions before bidding as this item is being sold "as is as pictued and sale is final". I do not respond to Ask Seller Question sent through the ebay email system when you hide your email address. HTMl can not be sent through the ebay system and it is too time and work consuming to try to keep up with two different email systems...ebay's and my own. If you have questions or concerns, please email me directly by clicking HERE Please ask questions before you bid as sale is final. Buyer to pay fixed shipping of $30.00. This charge applies to the lower 48 states only. Costs to Hawaii, Alaska, and all US territories (including APO FPO addresses) will be more. Please email me for a quote before bidding if you are outside of the continental US. Buyer to contact me within 48 hours of auction end and payment is due within 7 days of auction end.
