Antique Coin Operated Upright Pinball Vending Machine Antique Soccer Machine from the Second World War Era Start Price USD 45.00 Current Price USD 138.50 Time Left - Bid Count 6 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, November 17, 2008 End Time Monday, November 24, 2008 Location Lomita, California See more about 'Antique Coin Operated Upright Pinball Vending Machine' Description Hello there, Up for sale is an old / antique, coin-operated, table-top / upright, pinball / vending machine.  It stands about 25.5” tall.  It  has two handle type mechanisms for controlling small colored balls falling into numbered slots.  There is  a chromolithograph background featuring a football scene.  The machine takes nickels and the bottom coin bank has a lock and key, which I still have a set of the original Keys.  I do not know too much about the origins of this item.  I tried to do some research about where or who made these.  So far this is what I got: These games were popular in the period after the Second World War and throughout the 1950’s.  I think it was made by a company called 'Mastermatic (The Vending Machine Co. Ltd. of London).'  There are no plaques or marks anywhere on the game.  I also read that in 1958 an American Company by the name of JH Keeney & Co., made a similar item called ‘Scramball’ which was popular during the 1950’s and 60’s.  I found an online price estimate of between $294 - $442 and a price realized of about $3,459.
