Description
numbers622 Store Once again, we are selling a few more items from the "world's largest tire ashtray and memorabilia collection." We will be running these auction on a fairly short time fuse as we have a good bit to list and want to get it done before we get in too close to Christmas holidays. Now offered for your consideration, is this NWYF New York World's Fair Goodrich Tire ashray from 1939. The decal is about 80% complete, so not great, but most of the loss is around the perimeter, so it is not horrible. If you don't have this piece, it would make a great stand in until you can find a better one. Low starting bid due to condition. TERMS and CONDITIONS (How we do business.) Disclaimer: We are not professional sellers. We are liquidating many items that we have collected over 4 decades. We do not claim to be experts on anything, so please feel free to ask pertinent questions about any item of ours that you may be interested in bidding and we will do our best to answer them. We make no claim or warranty as to the suitability of any item for any purpose. What you see is what you get. Do not assume that something is included if you do not see it in a photo or it is not otherwise mentioned in the description. The description takes precedence over all other information in the listing. Any vintage item of a scientific, medical, mechanical or electrical nature should be considered for display or collecting only and may or may not operate as it did when it was made. We will attempt to honestly describe the operability of any item if known. However, we may not know not know everything about an item's operation and may miss something, so no warranty is made or implied unless we specifically warrant an item to work perfectly. The items that we are selling may be used or new and may or may not be fully functional. We try to accurately describe all out items. However, we are not perfect and may miss something important to you, so again, please do ask questions, but don't wait until the day the auction closes as we may not be available to answer your email. Any item we sell is returnable for a full refund less shipping charges if we have made a significant mistake in describing the item. If you wish to return an item, you must contact us within 3 days of receiving the item to OK the return. After the return is approved, the item must be mailed within 3 business days. The item must be received by us in the condition in which it was sent to you. We will refund the amount paid for the item only. Shipping and insurance, if desired, will not be refunded. Ending Auctions Early: While we do not generally end auctions early, we reserve the right to end any auction early if we discover a mistake in the listing or if there is no apparent interest in the item within 24 hours of the closing time. No transactions will be made outside of eBay. Payment: In compliance with current eBay policy, we can only accept on-line payments. We are currently set up only to accept PayPal. Please understand that this is not our desire, but it dictated by eBay. Your understanding is appreciated. Thanks. Shipping: We will work to help you save money on shipping where legally possible. We would much rather you spend money on our items than on postage. We typically ship on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please be patient. We are not professional sellers and cannot make a trip to the post office every day. We no longer ship outside the US. If you are not in the US do not bid! While we have had many successful transactions outside the US in the past, we will no longer ship outside the US due to increasing problems with losses in the postal system and difficulty in estimating shipping charges. We are sorry to have to do this and apologize to our previous international customers, but it is no longer economically feasible for us to ship internationally. We do NOT charge for handling or packaging unless the item requires special treatment such as building a wooden shipping crate. It is our intent to charge only for the actual shipping costs. Unlike some sellers, we do not inflate shipping costs and sell at a very low price which cheats eBay. We all know that postage seems to go up every other day. However, consider the expense of gasoline. We offer many unique and unusual items for sale. You could easily spend much more than the cost of postage in gasoline expense just hunting for the same thing in stores, malls or flea markets. In the long run, you will likely come out much cheaper by buying on eBay! Our shipping charges are an estimate, hopefully, a reasonably accurate one. If we overcharge for postage in the amount of $1.00 or more, we will be happy to refund the difference upon request. We do not cross check each shipment for actual vs. estimated shipping charges, so we will not likely know that we have overcharged you unless you bring it to our attention. Shipping overcharge refunds will be made by PayPal ONLY! We will NEVER bill you for additional postage if we underestimate it. We will be happy to ship eligible items by Media Mail to save shipping costs if desired. If an item is eligible for media mail, this will be listed as a shipping option upon check out. Please do not ask us to ship items by Media Mail that do not qualify. We also will be happy to ship small lightweight items by First Class Mail either in a small box or padded mailer if eligible upon request. We suggest and recommend Priority Mail for all items which are not too heavy. Priority Mail typically receives better and more careful handling and the larger boxes offer more protection. But it is up to you, we will certainly try to help you save money where possible. Sometimes, Parcel Post is a bit cheaper than Priority Mail, but not usually by much. We do not recommend using Parcel Post unless there is a significant savings. We will also be happy to utilize Priority Mail flat rate boxes when there is money to be saved. We will be happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases where practical to save you money. Items must be compatible i.e. We won’t combine a heavy metal object with fragile glassware. Postal Insurance: We NEVER require you to purchase postal insurance. Postage is high enough already and it just doesn't make economic sense to us to pay a couple of bucks to insure a low dollar purchase and then have to go through all that paperwork to file a claim. However, we will NOT issue a refund for lost or damaged items. Our responsibility to you is to properly package your item and deliver it to the post office. Once it is in their hands, and it is the responsibility of the post office to deliver it to you undamaged. We will maintain proof of mailing. If your item is lost or damaged in transit, it is your responsibility to file any clams with the carrier (post office). We will be happy to assist in this process if needed. All that being said, we truly do appreciate your business and want you to be satisfied with your purchase. Please do contact us if there is any problem with your purchase and we will do our best to work with you to resolve any issues.
