Chein USA . A delightful monkey all decked out in his finery waiting for a handout. The applied lithographic design is very detailed right down to the brass buttons on the back of his red vest. He is in very nice condition, the colors are still nice and bright.  He tips his hat to thank you for your contribution when you place a coin in the slot. The movement of the arm that tips the hat is still good.  In the last three photos I used a letter opener to push down gently through the coin slot so that you can see the different position of his hat as he is tipping it.  You can also go to You Tube and search under 'J Chein Monkey Bank' and there is a video on there that shows how these banks work. He has his original plug in the bottom. I do not know if there was a key or not. Added 11/25: I realized too late that I do not have a photo of the bottom. I took it, but accidentally did not add it to the listing. Unfortunately because I use Auctiva to write my listings and save on the fees, I cannot add a photo after the listing has gone live. I tried to add it and it replaced the gallery photo. If you need to see the photo please send me your email and I will gladly email the photo to you. The bottom is in nice condition with a some small spots of oxidation that show up larger in the photo than to the naked eye. There is the number "19" in a circle, faintly stamped on the bottom. It could be "61" but I think it is "19". The "1" is a bit faint.Mr.  Monkey  measures 5" tall by 2" across the base. There are a few very minor surface scratches which is to be expected from handling over the years. These are highly sought after collectible and would be a great little addition to any vintage tin toy collection and a great gift for the collector on your holiday list.Thanks for bidding.
