This basket comes from a collection which I recently accepted to sell on consignment from a local collector who used to be a home consultant.  The home of the consignment client was smoke-free. The 1993 13" Measuring Basket has been USED and is in fair condition with five splints broken or chipped to varying degrees of severity.  I would rate two of the breaks as significant and the other three as minor.  None of the breaks goes all the way through the basket. The basket measures 14" in diameter along its top rim by 12" high and has a single swinging handle.  The reinforced basket bottom remains strong but is somewhat soiled and shows wears. Given the used condition of this basket, I debated whether to list it or return it to the consignor, but came to the conclusion that despite its flaws, overall the basket is still a desirable Longaberger piece IF you purchase your Longaberger baskets for real use, rather than a perfect display. The protector has significant surface scratching, but no cracks or deep scrapes or gouges.  The original product card does accompany this basket. A homemade Wooden Lid also accompanies this basket.  The slotted homemade lid is NOT a Longaberger WoodCrafts lid, but rather a homemade lid designed to fit on top of the basket for use at weddings to  securely collect gift cards.  The homemade lid shows plenty of wear and I place no real monetary value on it, but will cheerfully ship it along with the basket in the event that you might find it desirable.
