VINTAGE GUMBALL GUM CANDY NUT MACHINE DISPENSER VENDING Start Price USD 49.95 Current Price USD 127.45 Time Left - Bid Count 8 Buy It Now Price USD 124.95 Reserve Price - Start Time Friday, October 03, 2008 End Time Monday, October 13, 2008 Location Corning, Iowa See more about 'VINTAGE GUMBALL GUM CANDY NUT MACHINE DISPENSER VENDING' Description Auction Wizard 2000 Listing Template - AW2KLOT#:4403   ANTIQUE "TOPPER" CANDY, GUM OR PEANUT VENDING MACHINE This is a beautiful old vending machine from a local estate.  I am guessing it is from the 1950's.  Back in the old days, machines like this would dispense candy, gum, or peanuts.  The price was just one cent!  You sure can't get anything for a penny these days.  This machine has a great vintage look and design.  The original, thick glass globe with original decal is still in place.  The decal indicates this is a "Topper" machine made by the Victor Vending Corp. of Chicago, Illinois.  The decal features a top hat, cane, gloves, and a globe of the world.  The heavy, metal body of the machine has a great color scheme.  I love the arched "church window" styled front.  I put a penny in the slot and the mechanism turned just fine.  It will not turn without a coin.   I did not load the machine with gum or candy or nuts, but I don't see any reason why it would not work.  I'm not sure which product this was set up for.  There is no lock in the top, so you can easily load the machine with gum and disassemble it to harvest coins whenever you want.  If you want a lock, they are widely available on eBay, or from your local locksmith.  This unit shows some normal wear from use.  The glass is in great shape.  NO chips, cracks, breaks or repairs.  This is a full sized machine, standing about 15 1/2 inches tall.  It is well made and very solid, weighing nearly 10 pounds without box or packing.  Overall, it looks fantastic.  It will display quite well.  An excellent addition to any collection.  Don't miss out.  Bid now! Insurance is available for $1.70 per each $50 of purchase price. Insurance is provided by U-Pic. If an insurance claim for damage is necessary, you must retain the shipping box and all packing materials.  Photographs will be required. Delivery Confirmation (package tracking) is available for $0.65.  Iowa residents must pay 7% sales tax on the entire amount, including shipping. I package all items very well, so I am not responsible for items broken or lost in the mail. In the event of damage, I will sign forms for insurance and begin the process the buyer must follow through with the the insurer in order to get any settlement. Refunds are available only if the item is not as described in the listing. Item must be returned in condition received before refund is issued. Refund must be requested by contacting me within 5 days of receiving item. Item must be received by me within 7 days of contact. Refund for amount of purchase only and return postage is the responsibility of the buyer.
