Lights Up!' Description Unusual vintage vending machine for HOT NUTS. Believed to be made by the SilverKing Corp, Circa 1947. Measures 15.5 inches tall, including the red hobnail top. Metal base is 6.5 inches square. Decal label on front of glass is in shape of acorn, states 'Standard Try Them Hot, Fresh & Delicious'. 5 cent coin slot on front corner. Shute for nuts to come out is on front & appears never to have had a cover. Machine does light up & heat. It does not get burning hot, just warm & it takes a while. I put a nickle in & the mechanism does work; there were not nuts in it but the money fell through & you could see the slot for nuts move. Neither glass nor metal have breaks or cracks. Electrical cord & plug appear to be safe. Locking mechanism is a replacement & there are 2 keys. Buyer pays shipping & insurance. Place a Bid!
